| Dear Karel,
We have a break in the weather! Take advantage of it and visit the Humane Society of Berks County tonight for our final Furry Friday of the year and for the grand opening of our annual Howliday Open House! They are both a ton of fun, a great way to meet some great animals and people, and an easy way to help the animals without really trying! Check out below for all the cool stuff happening this weekend! |

Tonight: December Furry Friday Featuring Artist Susan Biebuyck
Tonight's Furry Friday is a double header: An amazing showing of the diverse work of artist Susan Biebuyck and the opening of the HSBC Howliday Open House. Join Susan and the HSBC for some great food and drink, courtesy of our partners at Legacy Brewing, Barefoot Wines, Reading Coffee Roasters, Canal Street Pub & Restaurant!
Plus, you can get a peek at the LaVigna Dog Adoption Center plans, get a tour of the improved stray and recovery cattery, and learn about our veterinary expansion plans! Furry Fridays are free, open to the public, and a blast- so swing by and bring a few friends tonight, Friday, December 14, from 5:00 to 7:30.

Howliday Open House & Holiday Store Tonight, Saturday and Sunday, December 14-16
The Humane Society Howliday Open House is back and it's bigger and better than ever. Photos with Santa has returned to the HSBC, we will have books signings by children's authors Carol J. Haile and Jeff Clineff, our Holiday Shoppe features great gift items (including some special "in store only" items), and you can put a Wishing Star gift for the animals under our Sheerlund Forests tree!
Enjoy some yummies courtesy of our friends at Sweet Street Deserts, Giant and Starbucks (5th Street Hwy), check out the cool things going on this winter and spring at the HSBC, and say, Hi!, to Berks County's most adoptable pets! Maybe you can bring a new friend Home for the Howlidays!
