How you can help at Thanksgiving:
Nearly 5,000 people receive this email but many of you are already recent adoptors and may not be ready for more.
This Thanksgiving, you'll probably email family and friends. Why not do it by forwarding this email to them? If you have guests for Thanksgiving dinner, show them the great pets shown here.
With your help we can turn 5,000 sets of eyes to 10,000, 20,000, or more. Please help us get these great animals Home for the Howlidays!
| Dear Karel,
The Thanksgiving Holiday is a time to spend with family and friends. Unfortunately, it's also a time when adoptions can slow down at adoption centers across the nation. That's why the Humane Society of Berks County is kicking off its new Home For The Howlidays Adoption Program! We'll be sending out regular email listings of all of the animals posted on our website that are available for adoption.
Check them out yourself and forward this to a friend, co-worker or family member who might be looking for a new forever friend. For many, the holidays are the right time to adopt because of extra vacation time. If that's the case for you, stop in to check out Berks County's most eligible pets! Let's reverse the slow adoption trend this year and get more pets Home for the Howlidays! |

Adopt Us! You can get more information about any of these animals and more by visiting our website (click here). These wonderful animals need homes now. Whether you are ready to adopt or just forward this along to others (see the easy Forward to a Friend link at left), please help now!

Adopt Us, Too!
Still need to see some more? Well, here's some more! Don't forget: under the HSBC's Award winning Free To A Great Home program, dogs eight years and older and cats eleven years and older are free (all normal adoption requirements and benefits apply). Come on in a check out some of our great older pets!

|
But Wait- There's More!
We can't forget Wink and Blink! They need homes, too! Of course, there are many others at the HSBC who haven't had their pictures taken yet and more are coming in every day.
Come in to visit (and maybe adopt) them, do some holiday shopping, pick up your Science Diet pet food, Frontline Flea Control products, and many other pet care items. You know you need that stuff anyway, so why not buy it somewhere the profits will go to helping animals in need?

The Humane Society of Berks County is an independent, local organization with a national reputation. Our original and innovative programs have received awards and recognition from the American Humane Association, the Humane Society of the United States, and Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government. We directly shelter 7,000 animals a year and touch the lives of thousands more animals and people. Join the more than 10,000 people who joined in our mission as adopters, volunteers, and supporters last year and help us end the suffering of companion animals today!
Sincerely,
