Dear Karel,
Welcome to the Humane Society of Berks County's
Kennel Kapers Online! We hope that you find it
useful, informative, and that it will give you a better
idea of our efforts to save the thousands of
homeless,
abused and neglected animals needing our help
each
year.

August Furry Friday
Featured Artist: Gayle Barcz
We know there must be an awesomely clever
possibility here with this artist's name, but a bad pun
just wouldn't do her justice! Join us on Friday, July
13th from 5:00 to 7:30 PM, to see just how scary good
Gayle's art is (at least we got a Friday the 13th joke in!).
Stop by the shelter, have a bite to eat courtesy of
Canal
Street Pub & Restaurant and Tasty Maid Bakery,
drink courtesy of
Legacy
Brewing Company, Barefoot
Wines, and
PepsiCo, and say "Hi!" to the animals. We'll even
crank the AC. As always, it's free and if you buy some
art, a portion of the proceeds go to the Humane
Society!

cruelty laws, the Humane Society offers adoption
services, spay and neuter services, humane
education, pet behavioral counseling, and help to
