 Survey Said...
Results of the E-Kennel Kapers online survey

Survey Results The HSBC has recently begun sending users of our services online satisfaction and evaluation surveys. We need to know how people feel about us and the job we're doing so we can keep up the good work or try to do better when you tell us we need it. In the last issue of the E-Kennel Kapers, the HSBC invited you to tell us what you think about our e-newsletter. The results were very eye opening!

The comments were overwhelmingly positive! Most of you felt we were doing a pretty good job with the E- Kennel Kapers. However, we also got some really great suggestions for how we can improve. These included more "happy adoption" stories, behind-the- scenes stories, community feedback, special needs cases, and more. The suggestions were varied and interesting. Click here to download a PDF file of the results.

In response to these suggestions, the E-Kennel Kapers will begin a new feature each issue: Reader's Request. Each issue we will pick one request from the survey suggestions and feature it. It will take a while to get through the list but if you read long enough, chances are you'll see yours there! So, read on for this issue's Reader's Request....

 Reader's Request Double Header!
"Stories of injured animals helped/More adoptable pets"

Abby A very special animal will help us with two reader requests at once! Abby recently underwent rear leg amputation surgery due to an injury. Abby's surgery, treatment, and recovery foster care was provided by one of the HSBC's fantastic volunteer veterinarians, Dr. Heather Westfall. After lots of time and loving care, Abby is ready for a new forever home.

Says Dr. Westfall: "She's housetrained, knows sit, knows her name, getting around great on her 3 legs, running now! So I think she is ready for a home of her own. Abby is okay with other dogs, is very affectionate to people - I think she is a bit jealous, and might be better off in a single dog household, she deserves alot of attention. About 35 pounds, she wants to be a lap dog, but will curl up at your feet happily. Has some funny little tricks she does, she "talks" to us- she's a goodie. I hate to let her go, but I promised to get her better and find her a place, so I can help others as they come along."

Interested adopters should contact Damon March, HSBC Operations Director, directly at 610-921-2348, ext. 18 or at dmarch@berkshumane.org. Abby needs the perfect home and her adoption process will be a rigorous and deliberative one. Please be prepared to be patient and to go through a few extra steps with Abby's adoption

More adoptable pets here...
