Volunteers

The Humane Society of Berks County relies heavily on the hundreds of volunteers who make our work possible.  Whether it's help in the kennel or cattery, data entry, client greeting, special event support, or community outreach, all our volunteers help the HSBC fulfill its mission and stretch every charitable dollar for maximum effect.  Read more about the HSBC's volunteer opportunities by downloading the Summer 2006 Kennel Kapers Newsletter (click here) featuring a cover article on volunteerism at the HSBC!

Volunteer Orientation

All individual volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation. This is an opportunity to learn about our organization, the volunteer opportunities and schedule requirements. Questions are answered and a portion of the orientation will cover dog-handling techniques. Attendees will also go for a tour of the facilities. The orientation is held at the Humane Society of Berks County in the main lobby and lasts approximately one hour.

Upcoming Volunteer Orientation Dates:
