  • Saturday, June 14 - July 31st 2008 - Feline Portraits- Art exhibit, by Karen Wolf, features her new collection of "Feline Portraits" at Five & Divine, 27 East Penn Avenue in Wernersville. Karen, a regular contributor and supporter of the HSBC's Art for Arf's Sake Art Auction, will be donating 10% of the proceeds from the sale of these works to the HSBC.   • Saturday, June 21, 2008 - Art on the Avenue, Plan to spend the entire day on the Avenue! From 10:00AM to 7:00PM Penn Avenue in West Reading will be bustling with activity...fabulous artists, great food, live music and entertainment, and of course the wonderful boutiques will be featuring an unbelievable assortment of wares! Penn Avenue merchants offer a unique shopping experience that is complete with top notch customer service, creative, funky, unique, and sophisticated items, and best yet...they are big supporters of the HSBC!   • Friday, July 11, 2008 - Furry Friday, Visit the HSBC (1801 N. 11th Street, Reading) from 5:00PM to 7:30PM for the opening of a new featured art exhibit that includes drinks, light fare, news about the great new things happening at the HSBC, tours, and a chance to say "Hi!" to the animals! Best of all, Furry Fridays are free and open to the public!   • Friday & Saturday, July 18 & 19, 2008 - Frank FM's Berks BBQ Bash at Blue Falls Grove in Leesport. Sanctioned BBQ Cook Offs, Ken and Jenn's live Battle of the Sexes, food and craft vendors, live music and ...Wiener Dog Races! Frank FM will be donating wiener dog registration fees to the HSBC! The HSBC will be on site throughout the event to provide information about our programs and services. Also stop by our wiener dog racer relief tent where all the "hot dogs" come to be cool.   • Sunday, July 20, 2008 - Reading Pride Celebration,where the Reading community comes together as one to celebrate unity and diversity.
