Federated Humane Societies of Pennsylvania invites you to join us on October 16 & 17, 2008, for its 86th Annual Conference! This year’s conference will be held in Reading, Berks County, in the heart of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Federated and the Humane Society of Berks County, this year’s hosting organization, have brought together a spectacular group of some of the best and most talented in the fields of animal welfare and veterinary medicine. We hope you will join us and your peers at this fantastic opportunity to meet, share, learn and teach!

With 14 workshops and presentations on a wide variety of subjects, this year’s conference will offer something for animal welfare and sheltering professionals, veterinarians, breed rescue volunteers, law enforcement and even the interested public. This year’s conference also features a very special keynote speaker, Wayne Pacelle (left, photo credit Hilary Schwab), President of The Humane Society of the United States. Given the unprecedented attention to animal welfare issues in Pennsylvania and across the nation this year, the 86th Conference is sure to be an exciting gathering!
