Pet Loss and Bereavement
We Understand and We Can Help
Few things are harder than losing a beloved pet. More than ever, our companion animals are important parts of our lives and our families. Their passing often impacts us no less profoundly than the loss of a human member of the family or a close friend.
No one knows that better than the Humane Society of Berks County. That’s why the HSBC has partnered with bereavement counselors and psychologists to offer regular Pet Loss and Bereavement seminars. The seminars are free and open to those who are struggling with the loss of a pet.
If you or someone you know is coping with the loss of a faithful companion and could use a little support, let us help. Whether it is for one visit or many, those in grief will find comfort and compassion, as well as learn some techniques for better handling their loss.

The Humane Society has recently partnered with FairView Counseling Center to offer comprehensive bereavement services, provided by State licensed counselors and psychologists specializing in bereavement counseling, in a safe and secure setting.
